Heading in the right direction

Last week we had a strong meet against Bridgewater-Raynham.

The boys finished only 5 points behind B-R which was very bittersweet but is definitely a step in the right direction! One of the highlights of the night was a sweep of the 100 free. Matt M., Connor M., and Colby finished 1-2-3 in the event, dropping up to 5 seconds each! That finish was enough to tie the meet at the mid point.

The boys meet was really a tremendous team effort. Several swimmers stepped up to fill in our empty lanes, swimming events they may not normally swim in order to help us to a strong finish. Thank you Anthony, Peter D., Drew, and Dan for your hard work!

The girls meet wasn't as close as the boys but we posted several very strong swims. The girls 200 medley relay and 200 free relay (Olivia, Brianna, Kayla, and Madie) teams set team records in both events. Olivia qualified for sectionals in the 500 free and both she and Madie took home first place finishes. Amanda continued to chip away at her 500 free time and Colleen has dropped 5 seconds in her 200 free.

We're definitely heading in the right direction!

Next up is the Middleboro Invitational on Thursday. We are seeded to do very well!

Giving back

This weekend our swimmers gave their Saturday morning to help package and deliver food to local families in need. Together with TMAC in Norton we helped to feed 279 local families!
